I am an amateur photographer working and residing in the province of Tawau, State of Sabah, Malaysia. Tawau is a border town with a blend of Malaysian, Indonesian and Philippines cultures amongst its inhabitants. I am a local of Tawau, born and raised in this South-Eastern town. I work my day job is an IT Manager in a trading company involved in hardware and building material. Frankly, I am new to photography, compared to other photogs who are considered veteran in this field as they’ve been into this maddening hobby for some twenty odd years. I became fascinated with the way a person executes this little thing that captures images by exposing its emulsion (although now it’s either a CCD or CMOS) called a camera. My first camera was the Nikon Coolpix 2500. It wasn’t that long ago, sometime in 2001, that I just couldn’t contain my desire to capture decent images. My thirst for information in photography was adequately quenched by so many info readily available on the Internet. Thanks to modern technology and some relentless unselfish individuals who shared their knowledge freely. I could say that my learning curve was very steep. I wanted to learn lots and fast! I have moved on from then and I believe my photography skill is on par with some of the senior photogs around my area. A friend of mine gave me the thought of doing stock photography has been a serious consideration. One man’s food is another man’s poison; whilst a picture is worth a thousand words – so is – beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My pictures say a lot about themselves and I’d like to invite everyone to come and share my vision. Come one, come all, these are the people, objects and landscapes that I have seen through my lens. I sincerely hope that you would find this pictorial journey a moving experience.
