I have over 30 years of experience in the graphic art and photography field. In 1978, I received a B.S. in advertising and photography from the University of Bridgeport. After a period of assisting highly accomplished photographers I was hired to head the photography department at Ebasco Services Inc., a large engineering firm owned by Raytheon. At Ebasco I worked with art directors to develop promotional material and visual presentations.

In 1989, I left Ebasco to pursue my own photography and graphic arts business. My clients included major corporations such as Duracell International Inc., TIAA/CREF, Pitney Bowes Inc., Cendant Mobility, Readers Digest, Chase Manhattan Bank and American Express. Conscious of the benefits of keeping up with rapidly advancing technologies, I earned a certificate in Intensive Multimedia Design and Production from New York University.

I have recently been the Creative Director of American Feast a specialty foods website. In that capacity I handle all the photography and graphics for the website. The web address is americanfeast.com.

I shoot with a Nikon D70 at the moment. I plan to upgrade to the latest version of the Nikon soon. I also plan to purchase a digital back for my Hassiblad. But for now I mostly shoot with the D70. My lighting equipment is Balcar strobes and a Metz flash system. I use Photoshop to retouch and enhance photos on a Dell XPS PC.

I enjoy photographing nature. I like to look for the unusual aspects of a scene by getting close up or looking for unusual lighting conditions. I enjoy searching for the graphic elements in a scene as well. I also enjoy photographing people in various situations such as sports, dance, at play, portraits etc. Still lifes are also a subjects I enjoy photographing. Again I like to play with the lighting to capture unusual shadows or graphic elements.
